GALAXIE 500 was an iconic indie rock band existing from '87 to '91 that recorded and released three legendary albums: "Today", "On Fire" and "This is our music“. Their sound was often described as Dream Pop or Slowcore and had a massive influence and impact on many bands and artists. Since a few years Dean Wareham tours with his infamous band „Luna“ under the moniker „Dean Wareham plays Galaxie 500“.
